The North Face Mountain Light Triclimate 3-in-1 GORE-TEX Jacket

The North Face brought the clean lines of their original 1985 Mountain Jacket into the future with the Mountain Light Triclimate 3-in-1 GORE-TEX Jacket. The colour-blocking and overall shape are true to the original, but that's where the retro stuff stops. It features a two-piece construction of a GORE-TEX shell jacket and an inner down jacket, which can be worn independently or combined for maximum comfort and warmth.

This updated version of a classic harnesses next-level two-layer GORE-TEX fabric that's windproof, waterproof and exceptionally breathable. Then there's the inner jacket stuffed with 550-fill of responsibly sourced down. Wear them together for protection from wind, rain, snow and the cold - basically all kinds of winter mountain weather. For when it's mild but wet, use the GORE-TEX shell on its own. When it's cool but dry, opt for the down-filled inner jacket. You get two jackets, for three different climatic conditions with no compromise on breathability.

Features on the outer GORE-TEX jacket include an attached three-piece hood with a drawcord and cord locks on the front and a cinch-cord on the back for adjustability. Adjustable hook-and-loop cuff tabs and a hem cinch-cord help seal out the elements, whilst taped external seams further lock out moisture. Pit-zip venting increases airflow, and reverse-coil-zip hand pockets provide secure storage on the move. Darting at the centre back allows for a great fit, whilst the exposed centre front zip with an internal draft flap and chin guard ensures easy on/off. Heat transfer logos supply a stylish look, and the GORE-TEX logo signals its breathable, waterproof power. A PFC-free DWR helps water simply bead off so you stay dry at all times.

The inner down jacket is warm thanks to its 550-fill insulation, whilst encased-elastic cuffs with Triclimate loops for snap-in compatibility allow you to attach or detach the inner jacket from the outer jacket with ease. An internal, secure-zip chest pocket and reverse-coil-zip hand pockets provide further storage, whilst the reverse-coil, full-length centre front zip again makes on/off easy. A heat transfer logo on the left chest further provides sporty style.
